Process and Timeline |
1.
Research/Initial Review/Contact
- (Now thru Month 1)
A potential franchisee should research all available
avenues to determine if the opportunity provides the
right fit. At Mattress Depot USA, we are highly selective
regarding the growth and integrity of our brand. Candidate
should contact us by email, phone, fax, or other means
to have a Mattress Depot USA franchise team member start
the initial review process. Candidate completes Franchise
Application
2. Opportunity Overview
- (Now thru Month 1)
Upon submitting your information, our team looks forward
to meeting with you to provide an overview of Mattress
Depot USA Franchising, our history, recent growth and
strategic direction. Candidate completes Franchise Interview.
3. Documentation/Eligibility
- (Month 2)
Following that initial discussion, you will be provided
with an application and Federal Disclosure Document.
Our team will gather more information and prepare for
final review. Candidate performs due diligence, reviews
FDD, reaches out to current Mattress Depot USA franchisees,
and continues to research Mattress Depot USA.
4. Preliminary Approval/Discovery
Day - (Month 2)
If your file meets expectations you will be granted
preliminary approval and invited to Bellevue, WA for
a Discovery Day at our home office. You will tour a
store, present your business plan to our executive team,
have ample opportunity for question and answers.
5. Final Approval/Franchise
Agreement - (Month 2)
Upon completing your Discovery Day, our executive team
will consider your application and business plan for
final approval. If you are approved and ready to move
forward with this opportunity, then candidate sends
in the signed Franchise Agreement and Franchise Fee.

USA Team and working with you to develop successful
stores!
6. Finding a Great Location
- (Month 2 to Month 6)
Mattress Depot USA, along with our commercial real estate
partner, will assist you throughout the entire process
from site selection to a signed lease. All leases are
signed by the franchisee. All proposed locations are
visited in person by experienced Corporate Staff before
final site approval granted.
7. Construction and Training
- (Month 2 to Month 6)
Once a location is selected and a lease is signed, Mattress
Depot USA and its agents will coordinate with you to
begin the build out process, assisting you and your
general contractor from initial drawings to final inspection.
The Training Process start 4-6 weeks before the completion
the retail store. The Frranchisee will attend a 10 day
Franchise Training in Bellevue, Washington at the Mattress
Depot USA National Training Center. Franchisee's will
spend another 5 days training "on the job"
at one of our current Corporate owned retail store locations.
Construction is completed, local permits are granted
and Franchisee has Grand Opening!
