What is a "Factory Second"?

A "Factory Second" is a mattress and/or boxspring that is an overstock, floor model, freight damaged, scuffed & scratched, demonstrator, customer return, warranty claim, discontinued model, or flawed product that does not meet the strict guidelines and specifications set forth by the manufacturer. The manufacturer will inspect these products with a 10 Point Certification process and deliver by truckload to our stores only those products they deem suitable for resale. These mattresses and/or boxsprings come at a deep discount, however they DO NOT have a factory warranty!

Mattress Depot USA does provide an in store Comfort Guarantee on factory seconds.

Sealy's 10 Point Certification Process:

1. Tested by certified inspectors
2. Inspect overall condition
3. No broken wood in boxsprings
4. No excessive dirt on products
5. No spring or coil protrusions
6. No excessive fabric tears
7. No unsanitary soiled products
8. Light clean and prep
9. "Second Hand" As-Is stamp on label
10. Factory bagged and sealed
